Mr Smith’s Year 7 Robotics students have been using their class time to create prototypes of rubber-band racing cars using Lego. Next term, the students will build rubber-band cars with laser cut-outs and explore the practical effects of force and motion in creative and collaborative ways.
Our Year 7s have been very industrious in their metalwork classes with Mr Ujma. We can’t wait to see their projects when they are finished!

A colour run was the highlight of our Harmony Week celebrations with students running through clouds of brilliant colour in appreciation of the vibrant multicultural community in which we live.
Thank you to Bunnings Maddington for generously donating garden supplies to the College. The seedlings and gloves have been put to excellent use by Ms Ward’s Certificate II in Permaculture students in the Southern River College Community Garden.
Drama Club is back and everyone is having a lot of fun using their imaginations, developing their stage skills and working together in a creative way. If you are a Southern River College student and would like to get involved, Drama Club is held on Thursdays, after school between 3pm and 4pm, in the PAC.
We were a little surprised when Mrs Glanvill’s Year 10 Dance students took basketballs into the Dance Room, but absolutely thrilled when they used them to perform that memorable basketball-inspired choreography from the hit TV show High School Musical.
