What is BYOD?<\/h3>\n

BYOD encourages students to bring their own devices to fully engage with the COMPASS, and other third-party software, which the college uses to deliver its subjects.
\nStudents with a device are supported to develop ICT capabilities and STEM skills as they use ICT effectively and appropriately to access, create and communicate information and ideas, solve problems, and work collaboratively in all learning areas at school and beyond school.
\nThe BYOD programs helps students to become future ready for the technology-based society we live in by giving them the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make ICT work for them.<\/p>\n

How does the program work?<\/h3>\n

For your child to gain maximum benefit from the program we encourage you to purchase one of the recommended devices for your child\u2019s use at school. Your child then needs to bring the device to the College every day, fully charged and ready to be used.<\/p>\n

How do parents set up the device?<\/h3>\n

At the beginning of the year; the College will require each student laptop to update any online service, monitoring software and set permissions to access the school\u2019s internet and interact with our domain. This will not affect parent or student personalised settings.<\/p>\n

How do parents get support?<\/h3>\n

Students and parents requiring assistance can access support in the following ways:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Technicians Office; in the Library and is available to students; during recess, lunch, before and after school each day.<\/li>\n
  2. Complex \/ warranty issues will require parents to contact their supplier.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
