The last day of Term 1 is Thursday April 1. We wish everyone a happy, safe holiday and look forward to seeing you all in Term 2 which starts on Monday April 19.

Triple P Parenting Program

We are pleased to announce that Triple P Parenting Program will be returning in term 2.
To assist us in accommodating as many families as possible, could you please complete the survey (link below) and let us know your preferences.

Survey results will be reviewed in week 1 next term and first round offers will be sent to those who have responded, before opening up to the whole school community.

RULegal 4 Parents
Parents & Guardians please come along and be informed on how to guide your children through the challenges of our digital world today.
RU Legal 4 Parents will address the following topics:
* age of criminal responsibility
* intimate images, sexting and image-based abuse
* cyber-bullying and identity theft
* school fights
* legal consequences for young people
* where to get help

Drama Club starting back soon – Thursday 11 March 2021
The Southern River College Drama Club, run by the fabulous Ms Pearce, is a wonderful way for our students to have fun, use their imaginations and develop theatrical skills. This semester the club will focus on creating a performance for the 2021 Youth On Health Festival, drawing inspiration from the theme “Keeping Up Appearances”. All students are welcome to come along on Thursdays, after school in the Performing Arts Centre from 3pm to 4pm. For more information, please see Ms Pearce in the Arts Office.

SEQTA Engage
We are very pleased to announce that Southern River College will be moving forward to a communication source called SEQTA Engage.
SEQTA Engage provides information with an easy-to-use interface that is web-based and available as an app on your iPhone or Android device.
Compass will no longer be used- please remove this application.
Southern River College has sent a welcome email to the email address you used when registering your child’s enrolment. Please check your inbox or junk box, in case the email was delivered to either section. The email title will be ‘Welcome to SEQTA Engage’ .
Through the Engage Portal, parents are able to:
• View student timetables.
• View the pastoral care information.
• See student attendance details.
• View school documents and download copies of letters.
• School notification and communications
• House system activities
• School events
