Important Information

  1. You must have read and be familiar with the Year 12 Information Handbook – Part II: Examinations (Handbook) downloadable at https://www.scsa.wa.edu.au/publications/year-12-information.
  2. A list of materials permitted in an examination room is available in the Handbook and the front cover of each examination paper that is available online. Unauthorised materials are not allowed in an examination room. Any electronic devices that allow communication via wireless technology with other devices are not permitted in any examination venue. Failure to comply may result in a penalty.
  3. If you have two examinations in the one day, you may be allocated to a common examination venue for both examinations. Please contact Robyn Cranley (email robyn.cranley@scsa.wa.edu.au, phone 9273 6308) immediately to discuss these arrangements.
  4. You must check for changes to your personalised examination timetable on the student portal (https://studentportal.scsa.wa.edu.au) the night prior to each examination.
  5. You must arrive at an examination venue 30 minutes prior to the start time of an examination as supervisors will commence administrative procedures and explain important information before the examination starts. For a morning examination arrive at 8.50 am and for an afternoon examination arrive at 1.30 pm. If you are late, you must sign a declaration form before entering the examination room.
  6. You must sign the front of your timetable and take your photographic identification to every written examination. Replacement timetables can be downloaded from https://studentportal.scsa.wa.edu.au.
  7. You must abide by the directions and instructions given by the supervisors. You must not start reading or writing until instructed to do so by the supervisors. Failure to comply may result in a penalty.
  8. If COVID-19 restrictions are in place during examinations, you are to follow personal safety and wellbeing instructions given by supervisors at an examination venue.
  9. While under examination conditions, you must not breach examination rules as set out in the Handbook. If the Authority finds that you have breached examination rules, your examination mark may be cancelled. Impersonating another candidate for an examination is a criminal offence.
  10. No allowance can be made if you miss an examination through misreading the timetable.
  11. If you suffer a temporary sickness, non-permanent disability or event that you believe may affect your performance in an examination you may apply for sickness/misadventure provision. Application forms are available at examination venues and on the School Curriculum and Standards website and must be received at the Authority no later than 4.00 pm, Tuesday 23rd of November 2021. Electonic applications are not accepted.
  12. Any changes due to a COVID-19 event will be communicated to you via text message, an updated personalised examination timetable available from https://studentportal.scsa.wa.edu.au and details will be available on the website https://scsa.wa.edu.au/curriculumassessment-covid-19/overview.
